Olten beat Zurich Nomads by 6 wickets and 5 balls to spare to win the final of the 2021 CS T10 at En Marche in Cossonay on Saturday 2nd October 2021.

After winning the toss, the in-form Nomads captain Faheem Nazir (34) tried to steer his team to a winning score. Olten’s first breakthrough came as soon as the third ball to dismiss A.Lakkaraju† for 0 and soon after dismissing Miskeen Jatoi for 2. There was a small recovery staged by the Nomads middle-order, The usually big hitting Waqas Khawaja (12), Azeem  Nazir (16) & Noman Khan (15) but all round fielding & bowling  performance by Olten prevented Nomads pushing for a winning score.

Olten’s openers, Malyar Stanikzai (21) & Jaso Thirunakrasu (47) by contrast gave their team the best possible start with an opening 51 run partnership. As Olten looked to push for victory a flurry of wickets (Johnmary Alestin 6, AWM Shahid† 0) gave Nomad some hope, but Ratnarajah Prateepraj (11*), scoring two boundary 4s in 6 balls, took Olten over the line with five balls to spare.
